If you are a business that caters to older adults and are interested in building relationships with other local businesses in the field of health, housing, financial, legal and lifestyle this is your place.   This is what you need to know about PSL membership.

 

Membership in Planning for Senior Life is by invitation only. Prospective new members are invited based on:

1) PSL’s immediate need to fill an established position

2) The individual practice compliments an existing group

3) PSL’s need to add a new business group not yet established

4) Applicant must be in business 2 years or have equivalent experience in the industry.

 

Additionally, member is expected to:

1) Participate in PSL committees of their choice

2) Participate in PSL community assistance and outreach

3) Must attend minimum meetings of no less than (8) if chapter meets monthly or (20) if chapter meets bi-weekly per calendar year

4) Comply with PSL membership rules and responsibilities. If not followed, your membership may be reconsidered.

 

PROCESS:

1) Candidate must attend 2 meetings as guest before application will be reviewed by membership.
2) Candidate submits an application based on his/her membership preference; Standard Membership, Non-Profit Membership, or Corporate Partner.  Based on the applicant’s membership interest a check for the annual membership fee plus a $100 nonrefundable processing fee to Planning for Senior Life (we will hold the check until committee decides on candidate’s acceptance).
3) * Please see chart below for membership fee and pro-rated amounts for the year.
4) Applications need to be submitted by the 10th of each month for membership to be considered that month.
5) Two members of the Membership Committee will interview the candidate either in person or by conference call.
6) Interviewing committee members will call references.
7) If all requirements are satisfied, Membership Committee will vote on acceptance at their next meeting.
8) Once the Committee has approved the application, the Committee will inform the applicant that he/she has been approved pending the background check (BC). Once the applicant has passes the BC, the applicant is approved for membership.
